Here are the proposed Rosemont School Council meeting dates for the 2016-2017 school year. The meetings start at 6:30 pm and are held in the school library.
- September 28 – Welcome meeting
- October 19 – Communication
- November 16 – PATs, School Development Plan, Accountability Pillar Survey
- January 28 – TBD
- March 15 – Programming Review (e.g., Residencies, other “extras”)
- April 19 – Proposed Budget
- May 17 – Annual General Meeting
Being a part of School Council can take many different forms depending on what you are comfortable with and have time for:
- Simply attend council meetings and learn what is happening at our school. You do not need to volunteer or sign up for committees in order to attend the meetings.
- Volunteer for committees or special events
- Participate as a School Council Executive
The Rosemont School Council serves the following purposes:
- To help build a sense of community within Rosemont School.
- To develop and promote our school's presence within the larger community.
- To promote parent involvement at Rosemont School.
- To enhance the educational experiences of students at Rosemont School.
- To develop a school financial plan to support chosen initiatives.
- To support improvements to the student learning environment/experience through fundraising.
- To make decisions on methods of fundraising and uses of funds raised.
